Hi my name is Rusty Ferguson and h'm a long time lover over of all things electronics. I have long been known for having to have all the latest gadgets. Now, I'll admit that I was able to accomplish that more often when I was still working a regular office job. I retired at about 45 and now I just can't buy all the toys I want. But if it blinks and beeps, I want it. These things fascinate me and always have. I'm quite the audiophile too. Now, I never owned the most expensive stuff out there but I have had  systems worth more than  10K.


About four years ago , I moved to the Philippines  as  an adventure.  Many of my toys got left behind. I'm still missing my  Audigy  sound card, and many of my other cool things but  even for me , somethings are better than even gizmoz. I'm a pretty adventurous guy.

Before retiring,  I was working as a computer annalist even though my degree is in  Accounting.  I am self taught when it comes to computers.  They challenged me,  it was one of the few things I couldn't master every element of so  I never lost interest. As long as I have a computer and a camera, I'll never be board.  Now , I'm exploring  my new Android phone. It is a Galaxy  SII and it  is amazing. Rather some of the Apps that work with it are.. Lately  I've been working with an app that allows me to  operate my phone by speech.  I just call the app by name and  it opens . Then I'll tell it to check the weather and it speaks the weather to me.  It does the same for  Tweets, email, text messages and many other things.  I will be writing  a lot about  what this phone does.  I see it  as the first  robots for the  masses.  Robots are coming and it looks like Google is working hard to put itself in position to control this market too.

I love electronics so , I explore many of them. They are getting more and more complex and as you know  change so fast it is  hard to keep up with  the newest technology.  It is my goal to  help you make  choices.   I'm more interested in talking  like a  regular person than some geek you  cant understand. But I'll be talking about the things Geeks Want, I just  hope  that I can make it  easy for the  rest of us  to understand  these devices.  I'm a pretty  casual person  so I'll approach these topics that way too.
